I'm glad Willamette Week put that in there. They might not be well-informed, but I hope they get people thinking about what they're doing out there and whether they have the skills, conditioning, experience, and know-how to really be hiking some of the trails that they think will otherwise win them ...
I'm wanting to take on the Matterhorn and Ice Lake next weekend. The Field Guide and Sullivan's book suggest that they'll be open in July/summer, but I'm wondering if that's true with the snowpack that we've had this year.
