Re: Access to Bull of the Woods Wilderness?

User greenjello85 shared this post about the current closures in the area: https://www.oregonhikers.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=29721&view=unread#unread Notes that the road conditions on the website haven't been updated for the season yet, but it seems like access from the Timothy Lake side could ...

Re: Tom Dick & Harry June 4, 2021

Thanks for the update. I have family visiting during the last weekend of this month and I'm thinking about TDH as the token hike for the visit. I was also planning on going on a Friday, so I guess we'll be part of the horde either way.

Re: Rock Lakes - Serene Lake Hike 6/1-6/2 2021

Thanks for the report on conditions! And great photos, Serene Lake looks like a lovely spot.

I know the feeling of encountering the consistent snow and wondering if it's worth pushing onward. Sounds like you guys were able to make the right calls and have a great early season trip.

Cool turkey encounter and also had no idea you could see Jefferson and the Sisters from this area. Looking forward to visiting the Dalles Mountain TH and trails tomorrow for the flower show!

Re: 2021 Snow Level

Visited the Old Salmon River trail today, starting at "Trailhead A" ( https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide/Old_Salmon_River_Hike ) and turning around at the second point where the trail goes a long the road, or about 2 miles in. The trail to this point had intermittent sections of snow, which wa...
