What a great looking trip! I'm glad you were able to experience some solitude at the hot springs. Sounds like they are very remote to start with, but hot spring solitude also just seems unheard of. Had no idea there was a state park out that way with cabins. These look similar to the ones available ...

Eh, nothing wrong with a good bail now and then. Especially when it's wet... can be more effort than it's worth.

Thanks for the conditions report! It seems like Indian Heaven came out relatively unscathed from the winds, nothing like on Mt. Hood at least...

I saw an update for the Big Hollow fire that there was some good creeping behavior recently. Also fingers crossed for a nice mosaic burn in this area! Coldwater Peak may be more of a grunt but could be another option for a buddy hike at Mt. St. Helens.
