Thanks. The Shooting Star were amazing last year. I'm happy those are still there. (I guess they would be, but with the fires and all things are never sure.)

If you can manage it that is a great spot to watch the sunrise come.

That's a great idea! We've got some reflective paracord - I could see sticking a small length of it in with the trowel to take when we're out doing our business.
Flagging tape in inexpensive and light for its length.

Thanks for sharing your story. It is remarkable how quickly things can go wrong in the most mundane of ways. I always wear a whistle around my neck ( this one - would highly recommend).
