Re: Mt Hood maps

Not only is it easier to read, the Mt Hood map at least appears to be far more accurate than either the USGS Quad or Ranger District maps, and it's waterproof.

Re: Mt Hood maps

I enjoy reviewing historic maps too. It makes me feel old to call 1990 historic but the size of trees that were seedlings then gives me little choice. I continue to use my 1990 Mt Hood map because the golden age of cartography was better than the current era.
Do you prefer the 1990 map to this one? https://www.adventuremaps.net/shop/prod ... de-oregon/

Re: Eagle Cap: Cached at Cached Lake

Susan, you have nothing to defend; really I was just impressed at the size of the pack plus a chair. I have a spinal deformity myself and recently I have been carrying a chair up trails too. I'm only a 3–5 mile day hiker however, so you're outpacing more than your grandkids!
