Just an FYI your wife's 2016 Crosstrek can use tire cables / spring chains or any other traction device that meets S.A.E. Class S.

Re: Chains on AWD
It really depends on the year and model. My ex-wife's 2016 Crosstrek does not have the clearance required for chains or cables. She would have to use an auto-sock. Re: Wahtum Lake Car Access?
When I was up there last year, I came back to a gentleman getting ready to write me a $100 citation. He took pity on me, didn't write the ticket, and I ordered a Forest Pass the next day.retired jerry wrote:what did they do to violaters?

Re: Indian Heaven Mosquitoes?
Excellent, good news! Got the forest pass locked down, and developing a nice stack of wilderness permits which I stubbornly refuse to throw away. Now all's left to do is choose a route and destination! Thanks guys!

Indian Heaven Mosquitoes?
Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. My wife and I have used this site numerous times in our new-found backpacking adventures. It's an invaluable resource, and I'd like to thank all the contributors. We are looking to set up a short trip at the beginning of August, and as it's over a Sunda...
