Windblown Fir Viewpoint

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Looking past the Douglas-fir to Phoca Rock and points east (bobcat)

Description

This viewpoint looks east past a contorted Douglas-fir to Phoca Rock and on to Beacon Rock. Directly across the Columbia River in Oregon are Sand Island and Bridal Veil Falls. The old alignment of the Cape Horn Trail continues along the steep slope here but soon becomes obscured by a slide, so you will have to return up the spur trail to the new alignment.
