Vancouver Avenue Bridge

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Sculpture by Micajah Bienvenu and history of the bridge, Vancouver Avenue Bridge (bobcat)

Description

The new Vancouver Avenue Bridge over the Columbia Slough was dedicated in 2011. Artwork, including a sculpture by Micajah Bienvenu, and plaques commemorate the occasion.

The bridge is currently the terminus of the Columbia Slough Trail, part of the 40-mile Loop. There are plans to extend the trail farther east along the slough once easements have been established.
