Unfit Settlement Viewpoint

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The Unfit Settlement view (bobcat)

This is the highest point in the park (1,528 feet). There are views of the Coast Range foothills to the north and west and a small bench.

The trail leading west from the viewpoint heads down to NW Genzer Road. "Unfit Settlement" refers to a 19th century surveyor’s unflattering assessment of homesteading potential in the area.
