Driving Directions

Drive I-84 east and take Exit 304 for Baker City Center, Geiser Grand Hotel, and the Historic District.

After exiting, turn right onto Campbell Street and drive 0.9 miles.

Turn left on Main Street and go 0.5 miles.

At the junction with Bridge Street, continue straight on Dewey Avenue (Highway 7) and drive south for 22.5 miles.

After passing by Phillips Lake, turn sharp right onto gravel Deer Creek Road and proceed about 80 yards to a junction.

Go left here, and proceed 4.2 miles (The road becomes FR 6550).

At a junction for the Deer Creek Campground (right), keep straight on the FR 030 spur for 3.8 miles on an increasingly rough track to reach the Twin Lakes Trailhead.

Notes

  • Rough road for the last half mile or so. You can consider parking and hiking the last section.
