Third Multnomah Creek Bridge

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The new steel footbridge (2018) placed here after the Eagle Creek Fire (bobcat)
The former bridge (Steve Hart)
Remains of an older bridge (Steve Hart)

Description

This is the third bridge over Multnomah Creek as you hike up the Larch Mountain Trail #441. The steel bridge with a wooden deck was airlifted in by helicopter in 2018. It was constructed by TrueNorth Steel of West Fargo, North Dakota.

The former bridge was already slated for replacement before the 2017 Eagle Creek Fire. It was further damaged by the fire and removed entirely.
