Tarbell-Larch Mountain Cutoff Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Upper junction with the cutoff, Tarbell Trail, Larch Mountain (bobcat)

Description

The Larch Mountain Cutoff Trail is an old road bed that becomes the Larch Mountain Trail and ascends to the summit of Larch Mountain. It is a slightly shorter route that spins off the Tarbell Trail from the south end of a big talus slope.

The junction is below a large bear-grass meadow that is worth a stop in bloom season (June).
