Tanner Butte-Tanner View Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Junction signage (Jess Beauchemin)

(Latitude, longitude and Elevation are guesses at best)

This is the location of the infamous scramble sign. This is no maintained trail to the top of Tanner Butte, although old Forest Service records mention "Tanner View Trail #401C" in this general area. The sign pretty much says it all. It's not much of a scramble from here, as a fairly well trodden footpath winds steeply uphill to the sub-alpine meadow atop Tanner Butte.
