Surveyors Ridge-Dog River-Zigzag Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Sign at the southern terminus of the Dog River Trail (cfm)

Three trails come together here, and a short spur leads to a now partially blocked view of Mount Hood. The Zigzag Trail #678 rises a steep and switchbacking mile from Highway 35. The Dog River Trail uses ridge crests for a gradual descent north to the same highway. This is also the western end of the Surveyors Ridge Trail #688.
