South McCubbins Meadow

Near the south end of McCubbins Meadow (bobcat)

Description

Part of McCubbins Meadow are in the Lower White River Wilderness, administered by the BLM, and parts are in the White River Wildlife Area, administered by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. This southern end of the meadow is on BLM wilderness land and is characterized by several vernal pools and a few Mima mounds in the prairie. Parts of the forest around this section of meadow are recovering from a burn.
