South Beach (Cape Lookout)

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The sandy beach south of Cape Lookout (bobcat)

The north end of this beach, being quite far from any road, offers a pleasant respite from crowds. The sandy strand changes to a loose pavement of lava cobbles as you walk closer to the high cliffs of Cape Lookout's south face. There are tide pools in the armpit of the Cape to explore. Don't walk too far south, though, or you'll run into buzzing buggies cruising the sands all the way to Sand Lake.
