Sain Creek

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

View to the Sain Creek Picnic Area, Sain Creek Arm, Hagg Lake (bobcat)

Description

Sain Creek is a western tributary of Hagg Lake. The Lake Trail runs along the Sain Creek Arm, but you cross the creek using a segment of West Shore Drive. On the north shore of the arm is the Sain Creek Picnic Area and then Recreation Area C, with its boat ramp and Pacific University shed.

Thomas W. Sain settled the area in 1875 and homesteaded the land around the creek.
