Pioneer Indian-Pioneer Indian Tie In Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The meadow east of the Tie In Trail junction (bobcat)

Description

The Tie In Trail meets the Pioneer Indian Trail here, south of the Mount Hebo Horse Staging Area. The latter used to be the family housing area for the Mount Hebo Air Force Station (689th Radar Squadron). The homes were demolished in the 1980s when the land reverted to the Forest Service.
