Palmateer View-Palmateer Point Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Little sunflower (Helianthella uniflora) and common juniper (Juniperus communis) on the ridge leading up to Palmateer Point (bobcat)

This junction in a xeric meadow is at the site of the old Palmateer Camp, used by shepherds when grazing was permitted here in the first half of the 20th century. A short trail (0.3 miles) leads up the ridge to Palmateer Point.
