Pacific Crest-Timothy Lake Trail North Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Boardwalk and footbridge at Crater Creek, near the junction (bobcat)
Junction, Timothy Lake Trail (north) and Pacific Crest Trail (bobcat)

Description

This junction is on the northeast corner of Timothy Lake, where the Pacific Crest Trail heads away from the lake towards Wapinitia Pass after crossing Crater Creek. Little Crater Lake, a beautiful artesian spring, is less than half a mile from here.

Mountain bikers using the Timothy Lake Trail must dismount here and walk their bikes about 100 yards to the Pacific Crest-Old 1916 Trail Junction, as cycling is not permitted on the PCT. Past the Old 1916 Trail, there are several use trails going to designated walk-in campsites on the Timothy Lake shore.
