Description
The Pacific Crest Trail crosses a lot of roads in its length, some of them Interstate Freeways, some of them abandoned logging roads. This, fortunately, is one of the latter. "Two Chiefs Trail" is actually an abandoned road, reaching from Carpenters Lake past Lower Greenleaf Falls to areas farther east. On some maps, the road is called Moffett Hot Springs Road. The road is extremely rugged, but is still driven on by ORVs, who apparently bring up chainsaws and remove fallen trees regularly. Turn north here to go to Greenleaf Falls and Lower Greenleaf Falls. Head west on the Two Chiefs Trail to Carpenters Lake. The Crest Trail west goes to Table Mountain. The Crest Trail east leads to the Bridge of the Gods.
