From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Signs at Oneonta-Horsetail Creek Trail Junction (Steve Hart)
The Horsetail Creek Trail #425 forks down and off to the left from the junction if you're coming from the bottom (Jeff Statt)
The tree and the signs fight for real-estate (Steve Hart)

This trail junction is where Horsetail Creek Trail #425, meets Oneonta Trail #424. It also marks the point where the Oneonta Trail gets serious about climbing.
