  • Interpretive signs
  • The refuge prefers able-bodied walkers to park at this trailhead and walk up the hill.

Driving Directions

From Beaverton, drive about 15 miles west on Highway 26 and go left on Highway 6 for Banks and Tillamook.

Drive 51.9 miles on Highway 6.

At the junction with Highway 101 in Tillamook (second traffic light), turn left for Hebo and Newport.

Drive 27.3 miles south on Highway 101 and make a right turn onto Christensen Road for the Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

Head up narrow Christensen Road 0.4 miles and turn right into the main parking lot.
