Driving Directions

From Portland, travel south on I-5.

Take Exit 253 for Hwy 22 East towards Detroit.

Follow Hwy 22 for 64 miles.

Turn left on Marion Creek Road, and continue 4.5 miles to the trailhead.

Fees, Regulations, etc.

  • Restrooms
  • Northwest Forest Pass (or America the Beautiful Pass) required
  • Central Cascades Wilderness Permit required: $6 overnight permit; $1 per person day use (June 15th - October 15th)

Other Notes

  • Access is on gravel roads but they are do-able in a passenger car.
