  • Stay on the Pacific Crest Trail if you're heading north into the Bull Run Watershed

Driving Directions

Drive Highway 26 east.

From the last traffic light in Sandy, just past the ARCO station, go 16.7 miles to Zigzag.

Turn left onto E. Lolo Pass Road juct past the Zigzag Mountain Store, and drive 4.2 miles.

At the junction with FR 1825, stay left on Lolo Pass Road (now FR 18), and wind up another 6.3 miles, passing the intersection with FR 1828, to where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses the road at Lolo Pass just before a junction where FR 18 makes a sharp right.

There are a few pullouts before a road junction. Also, you can turn right at the junction here and find a larger pullout on your right.

Other Notes

  • A small primitive campsite is located just off the Pacific Crest Trail just south of Lolo Pass. There's another campsite off the PCT north of the pass at the creek north of the powerline corridor.
