Kelley Point

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

On the beach near the point (bobcat)

Description

Kelley Point is at the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. Across the Willamette are the fields of Sauvie Island. The pilings at the point stretch out into the Friendly Reach and provide perches for large colonies of cormorants and gulls. The snowy summit of Mount Saint Helens protrudes above the row of cottonwoods on the Washington side of the Columbia. Turning the point at some wooden buttresses and an old anchor, you can see Mount Hood in the distance.
