Huffman Peak-North Fork Siouxon Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

View of Calamity Peak from the Huffman Peak Trail below the junction (bobcat)

Description

This unsigned junction can be a little tricky. It sits on the saddle between Huffman Peak and an unnamed 4,000-foot prominence to its west. The more obvious North Fork Siouxon Trail #126 heads north from here (right if you are coming from Huffman Peak) to descend a ridge. This trail dead ends at the boundary with Washington DNR land, but becomes more and more indistinct before then. The Huffman Peak Trail #129 drops off the ridge, but at the junction is somewhat concealed by bear-grass. If you find yourself traveling north, you're on the wrong trail!
