Description
One of the most scenic areas of Mount Hood is where the Timberline Trail crosses Heather Creek, a tributary of Clark Creek, just east of the Mount Hood Meadows ski area. In Heather Canyon a series of waterfalls tumbles below the trail. When the glaciers are at full melt, it can be a little tricky to cross Heather Creek here. The wildflower display lasts well into the summer. A couple of campsites can be found upstream from the crossing.
