Hares Canyon-Unfit Settlement View Trail West Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Red flowering currant (Ribes sanguineum) near the junction (bobcat)

The Unfit Settlement View Trail's western end meets the Hares Canyon trail here, just after the latter crosses a service road. The trail is named after a 19th century surveyor’s unflattering assessment of homesteading potential in the area.
