Driving Directions

Via Sandy:

From the last traffic light in Sandy, just past the ARCO station, drive 30.9 miles on Highway 26, passing through Government Camp, and exit right onto Highway 35 for Hood River.

Bear right here and drive for 11.2 miles past Mt. Hood Meadows to pull off on the right side of the highway at a trailhead board, just after crossing the East Fork of the Hood River.

Note: This is a relatively new trailhead. There is space for one or two cars only on the right side of the road. Otherwise, park before the East Fork bridge on the west side of the highway.

The former trailhead was accessed by a short spur leading over the East Fork on a wooden bridge. This structure was destroyed by flooding a few years ago.
