Driving Directions
Drive I-84 east to Exit 44 for Cascade Locks and Stevenson.
Go 0.3 miles after exiting the freeway, and then bear right for the Bridge of the Gods Toll Bridge and Stevenson.
Drive 0.8 miles, passing the toll booth and crossing the Columbia River, to the junction with Highway 14. Turn right here for Stevenson and Kennewick.
Go 6.0 miles before making a left turn at a roundabout onto the Wind River Road (Highway 30) for Carson.
Drive 4.2 miles, passing through Carson, before turning right onto Bear Creek Road.
You will keep on this road for 3.6 miles until it becomes gravel FR 6808.
Drive another 7.3 miles, winding up on a somewhat potholed road to a T-junction at unsigned Triangle Pass.
Turn left here, and go for 2.0 miles over some potholes to another junction. Turn right and pull into parking for the trail on the right.
From Willard
If you are driving from the east this route is more direct than the route through Carson described above.
Drive Highway 14 to the little community of Cook and turn north onto Cook-Underwood Road.
Drive 5.1 miles, then turn left onto Willard Road.
Drive 2.1 miles, then turn left onto paved Road 66.
Drive 2 miles, then turn left onto gravel Road 68.
Drive 5 miles on a somewhat potholed road to a T-junction at unsigned Triangle Pass.
Turn right here, and go for 2.0 miles over some potholes to another junction. Turn right and pull into parking for the trail on the right.
