Wind up for 4.7 miles on this potholed road to a Y-junction and turn right on Spur 451.
After 0.1 mile you will see the road/trail to Gold Butte - FR 455 - on your right. Park here. It is a 1.6 mile hike to the summit with 800 feet elevation gain.
Other Notes
This road is subject to severe rutting and drainage problems. A 4-wheel drive is recommended, but I have driven my Toyota Corolla here several times with no problems.
