Ecola Creek Ancient Cedars

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

One of the ancient cedars, Ecola Creek Forest Reserve (bobcat)

Description

A handful of very gnarled and ancient western red-cedars survive along a spur of Elk Creek Road as it rises from the valley of the West Fork Ecola Creek. Some of these trees may be over 500 years old and they all display centuries of wear.
