Driving Directions

From Jacksonville:

From the center of Jacksonville (Highway 238/5th Street and California Street), head west on California Street/Highway 238.

Drive 7.8 miles into Ruch, and turn left on Upper Applegate Road.

Go another 8.9 miles to bear left over a bridge on the Applegate River at the junction with Palmer Creek Road.

Continue 6.8 miles and, just after the turnoff for the Hart-Tish Park, pull off to the right at a sign for the Collings Mountain Trail #943.

Note: Space here is very limited. If the road verge is full beyond the No Parking sign, you'll have to go back 0.1 miles to a larger pullout for the Grouse Loop Trail, opposite the turnoff for Hart-Tish Park.
