Coffin Butte

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Summit sign, Coffin Butte (bobcat)

The forest floor at the end of the Coffin Butte Trail is carpeted with poison oak and toothwort, both blooming in the spring under a canopy of Oregon white oak. You can't hike farther than a boundary sign denoting the ‘summit.’ This is not the actual summit, which lies on private property. Proceed no further, and return to the parking area.
