Big Slide Mountain

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Looking to Big Slide Mountain from the ridge above Lake Lenore (bobcat)

Description

Big Slide Mountain is only three feet higher than the Bull of the Woods Lookout site, to which it looks straight across. Big Slide Lake sparkles in the bowl below, and the other peaks and ridges of the Bull of the Woods Wilderness are all around you. More distant views extend all the way to Mount Rainier in the north to the Three Sisters in the south.

Big Slide can be reached by a short scramble from the Schreiner Peak Trail, which traverses its south slope.
