Balfour-Klickitat Picnic Area

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The ponderosa pines at the picnic area (bobcat)

Description

This pleasant picnic area is less than half a mile from the Balfour-Klickitat Trailhead on a paved trail. In the shade of tall ponderosa pines, you can look down on the southern end of the Klickitat River Gorge and across to the town of Lyle. California ground squirrels have a large warren here.
