Arch Cape

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The arch at Arch Cape (bobcat)

Description

Like Cape Falcon and Neahkahnie Mountain to the south, Arch Cape is an intrusion of Columbia River Basalt in the surrounding mudstone of the Astoria Formation. A pocket beach, only accessible at low tide, displays the arch that the cape is named for. There are also a couple of sea caves here.
