Anthony Lake Trailhead

Driving Directions

Drive I-84 east and take Exit 285 for North Powder and Highway 237.

After exiting, turn right onto Highway 237 (River Lane) and drive 3.9 miles to the junction with Ellis Road.

Turn left here, and go 0.7 miles on Ellis Road.

Turn right onto the Anthony Lake Highway, and proceed 12.6 miles (The highway enters the national forest and becomes FR 73).

Turn left for Anthony Lake and go about 130 yards.

At a junction, keep right for another 130 yards and pull into a day-use parking area on the left after passing the old guard station

  • There are restrooms and picnic tables near the trailhead.
