My plan was to run a loop connecting several trails in the Rogers Camp/University Falls area.
There was some new snow from the previous evening, but it was warm and sunny with blue skies to make a pretty scene in the coast range.
I started at the Deyoe trailhead and took the Deyoe to the Nels Rogers trail to the Wilson Wagon Road trail.
Deyoe Creek:
When the route was single track in the forest, the trail was in good shape for running, but I was getting hammered by the "too too tunies" throwing snowballs at me from above. One well aimed snowbomb went right under my collar and melted down my back!
In the open areas there were still drifts a few feet deep which really slowed me down and my feet were soaked by the time I reached University Falls.
Instead of continuing on the loop via the Gravelle Brothers trail, I jogged back on the logging road in the sunshine.
