Year-end escape at the Big Bend

Posted by drm (2008-01-10)
I went to Big Bend National Park and surrounding areas in west Texas for two weeks from Dec 19 to Jan 2. Daytime temps were up to the 60's and okay for short sleeves; and short pants when the cacti defenses were not too dense. But nights were as cold as here and almost as long. I shoulda gone to Hawaii. ;)

Awe-inspiring photos and stories Dean! All of your adventures there in Texas showed their uniqueness and diverse beauty; especially cool how you always seem to find such vast solitude, but I saw a few critters you got some great shots of :) And congrats on the new website and your passionate work efforts, thank you for sharing that with us.
