hey all,
i had a good weekend on siouxon creek.it was my first time there after reseaching some on how to find it.the trail and the area are absolutly beautiful.it sorta reminded me of the lewis river trail but nicer.there was something to look at around every corner.all the waterfalls and the deep green colors kept me going to see what was around the next bend.i hiked in to the camp just before wildcat creek and set up my tent and dropped a few things, and then continued up to the biggest falls on the hike that was my turn around point.i spent a quiet night at camp.on sunday,i took my time stopping at a few places and walked around on some of the cool rock formations and talked to a few people.everything went well and totally enjoyed the trip.i'll have to go back next summer and take a dive in one of those emerald pools, they looked so inviting.the camp i stayed in had a large tree laying down with dry kindling and wood under it.(thats ettiquett)i got the fire going problem free and returned the favor when i left.i read the recent trip report on this hike:i did run across quite a few bikers but had no problems with them, they passed slowly and with courtesy.seen one guy that ran all the way out and back.........that must have been one big bowl of wheaties!....................Bobby

does anyone know what peak this is or anything about it(climbable)it's right in the general area before heading out to the trail.i asked a lady at the general store in chelatchie, she had an unofficial name for it.but i wont share that.looks like you could get a nice 360 up there.
