Clark/Newton Creek Snowshoe Info?

Posted by OneSpeed (2007-02-26)
Hello,

I'm researching a possible Mazamas lead to the Gates of the Mountain Area, which is up Newton Creek. To get there you'd have to cross Clark Creek, where there used to be a bridge. I understand that got wiped out by the November floods, and the Forest Service suggests people not mess with it.

However, I also recall somebody on here going up there and reporting it wasn't so bad. I just can't find that post. Anybody know where that stuff is? Perhaps the author is reading this? And in general, anybody been up that way recently?

Thanks!
