Volunteers met at Gateway then carpooled to the Cleveland House at Cape Horn, WA.
This was one property aquired by FoCG, and with restoration changes, will provide an incredible viewing area comparable to Crown Point on the OR side of river
We just did a short stretch of the Cape Horn trail, from the Cleveland property, down across Hwy 14, and to a couple overlooks on the trail, and back. I believe about 3 miles rt. It was a wet, grey, February day (sorry, redundant I know ;) But a great group and outing!
Looking east over the river:
an old shed along the trail, rumoured to be an old moonshine hiding place, or just a storage shed for the highway-building tools years ago?...hmmm....
