Triangle Lake

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Revision as of 16:23, 10 October 2015 by Bobcat (Talk | contribs)

Triangle Lake and Olallie Butte (bobcat)

Description

Triangle Lake lies just west of FR 4220 near the Olallie Meadows Trailhead. The Triangle Lake Horse Camp is on the south shore of the lake. The Lodgepole Trail, a section of the former Skyline Trail, runs past the lake. Parts of the trail are often submerged by the shallow waters of this lake. There is a great view of Olallie Butte from the west shore of Triangle Lake.

The lake is probably too shallow to support a viable trout population.
