Hike Description
This hike follows trail #1403D in a counter-clockwise direction.
From Champion Creek Trailhead cross the bridge over Brice Creek. Immediately on the other side of the bridge you will see trail #1403 on the left. Continue beyond this trail about 100 feet to trail #1403D.
This section of trail #1403D has a lot of poison oak.
After about 1.25 miles of of hiking Trestle Creek is visible in the bottom of the canyon.
At the 1.5 mile mark the trail goes behind Upper Trestle Creek Falls and begins to lose elevation on its return to trail #1403.
Turn left at the junction of trail #1403 and #1403D.
Follow trail #1403 along Brice Creek until arriving at the junction with trail #1403C. Along the way, watch for use trails along the creek side of the trail these will likely lead to small waterfalls or swimming holes.
Turn left on trail #1403C for a .6 mile out-and-back side trip to Trestle Creek Falls.
After visiting Trestle Creek Falls return to trail #1403 turn left and continue to Champion Creek Trailhead.
