The Tilikum Crossing from the South Waterfront, Portland (bobcat)

Description

This pedestrian/bike/bus/streetcar/MAX bridge opened in September 2015. It is a cable-stayed bridge with four piers, two on land and two in the river, the latter supporting the two towers. The name 'Tilikum' comes from the lingua franca Chinook Wawa, used in the Pacific Northwest for intertribal communication and later between natives and settlers. 'Tilikum' means people, and this this is the 'Bridge of the People.'
