Driving Directions

Trailkeepers of Oregon will host work parties on the upper end of the Gales Creek Trail on Saturday, January 20th and Saturday, February 3rd - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Each day, there will be a trail design workshop. Please sign up on the Trailkeepers Trail Work page.

Drive Highway 26 west from Beaverton for about 15 miles and bear left for Highway 6, Banks, and Tillamook.

Stay on Highway 6 for 18.8 miles, passing the Gales Creek Overlook, and turn right into the parking area at the Summit Trailhead.

Other Notes

  • Be alert for black ice near the Summit area in winter.
