Description

The junction is where the tie trail coming up from the Indian Pits area joins the trail that runs up along the edge of the Rowland Wall. Clumps of Barrett's penstemon (Penstemon barrettiae), a plant endemic to the central and east Columbia River Gorge, bloom here in May.
