Driving Directions

Drive west on Highway 26. From the junction of 26 with Highway 217, it’s 15.1 miles before you make a left turn for Highway 6, Banks, and Tillamook.

Drive 51.9 miles into Tillamook. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Highway 101N for Bay City and Astoria.

Go 2.5 miles, and right turn onto Alderbrook Loop Road for the Kilchis River, Kilchis Park and the Idaville District.

After 1.1 miles, go right at a T-junction for Kilchis Park.

In 1.3 miles, turn right and cross a bridge over the Kilchis River. This is the Kilchis River Road, which becomes gravel.

Keep to the road along the river for 6.8 miles before turning left to cross the Kilchis River on a bridge. Park in the pullout on the right side.

Other Notes

  • Best driven on weekends to avoid logging traffic
  • Wear orange in hunting season
